The final outing of the infamous Monsieur Hulot, TRAFIC continues Jacques Tati’s tradition of shrewdly lampooning modern society. The film finds Hulot employed as a bumbling automobile designer for a major Paris auto plant. Hulot is tasked with delivering a new gadget-filled camper-car to an auto show in Amsterdam. In Hulot’s hands, the simplest of tasks quickly becomes a road trip filled with a hilarious series of calamitous mishaps fuelled by Hulot’s constant enemy - modern technology.
